Elliotts Eggs

Charity of the year

For 2017, Elliotts Eggs are supporting 'Project Blythe' - a local project to get secondary school children interested in engineering.

The initiative is run by the charity Greenpower Eductaion Trust. Hopefully this project will encourage more students to enter the world of engineering.

Project Blythe – Formula 23 Electric Car Kit

As Tom, Mark and Phil were all past students at Hornsea School and Caroline being former Chair of Governors, we were delighted along with Hornsea Rotary Club to sponsor the work of Mr Patterson and his design team in this project. A team of 20 Year 9 students have entered in the IET Formula 24 Secondary school category where pupils have had to build the car using the supplied motor and batteries.

It is great to see the enthusiasm of the students and feel we are putting something back into the School. We wish them well in the final car race on Sunday 16th July 2017 which is to be held in Hull City Centre as part of this year’s City of culture events.

In addition we support the following in the local community:

  • Brandesburton Young Farmers – sponsored Club shirts
  • Brandesburton Cricket Club
  • Brandesburton Football Club
  • Hornsea RUFC
  • St John The Baptist Church Bewholme
  • Bewholme Recreation Association
